Nuclear Medicine License Auditing
This service, provided by GPS on a quarterly basis, evaluates the facility’s policies, procedures, records and operations conducted therein and judges their compliance with State/Federal regulations and the conditions of the facility’s license. GPS will provide policies or assist in generating policies that are required to meet compliance and assist in completing license amendments or renewals.
This service also includes quarterly reviews of personnel dosimetry, attendance at Radiation Safety Committee meetings (whether in person or by conference call), performance of quarterly dose calibrator linearity testing, quarterly well counter/uptake probe testing, annual dose calibrator accuracy testing and annual survey meter calibrations. If the facility is accredited by the ACR in Nuclear Medicine/Cardiology/PET, annual gamma/PET camera tests mandated by the ACR are not included in the scope of this service and are quoted separately. This includes assistance in obtaining ACR accreditation in nuclear medicine or the acquisition of any phantom images pursuant to accreditation.
NOTE: It is the responsibility of the facility to provide any dosage needed to conduct all necessary tests on dose calibrators. Requirements will be stated in advance.
